New Visions Charter High Schools make data driven decisions about how to support students. We collect formal and informal data on student progress to strategically reduce barriers to increase access to educational opportunities.

Where can you access and track data?

• About all students

  • Data Portal - The portal combines various sources of data to provide summary information about credit accumulation, attendance, and Regents passing rates. In addition, the portal provides specific student snapshots for deep diving as well as wizards that allow for school wide data based inquiry process.

  • Literacy Data Summaries - Can be accessed via the Charter Site under school specific resources. Shows student's Lexile level data from our literacy screener, Performance Series, and other diagnostic data such as the Word Identification Spelling Test (WIST) or Diagnostic Online Reading Assessment (DORA).

• About Special Education and ELL Students

  • SPELL Management Tool (SMT) - It combines data from SESIS and ATS to provide quick access to IEP meeting dates, program mandates, LOTE exemptions, BIPs, Related Services, ENL mandates and testing accommodations. Email Angie Torres (atorres@newvisions.org) to request access to your SMT.
